Cookies Notice
This notice explains what we store on your device when you use mdlbeastradio.com or listen.mdlbeastradio.com, why we store it, and how to change your mind at any time.
The short version: the site works without any of it. We ask before we set anything that is not strictly necessary, and refusing takes one tap.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website leaves on your device so it can recognize that device next time. Some are set by us. Some are set by other companies whose services appear on the site, like Instagram or TikTok. We also use two other kinds of storage that work like cookies but never leave your browser, listed further down.
Your choice
The first time you arrive, we ask. You can accept everything, refuse everything, or choose. If you refuse, nothing but the strictly necessary cookie below is set, and the site works exactly the same.
We remember your answer for six months on the site where you gave it, so you may be asked once on each of our two sites. You can change it whenever you like:
Strictly necessary
These make the site work. They do not need your permission, and there is only one.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| mdlb_consent | MDLBEAST Radio | Remembers your answer to the cookie question, so we stop asking | 6 months |
If you have an account on this site, which almost nobody does because accounts are for our own team, WordPress also sets login cookies so you stay signed in. Those are strictly necessary too.
Analytics
These tell us how many people visit, which pages they read and where they came from. Only set if you agree.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells one visitor apart from another | 2 years |
| _ga_<id> | Google Analytics | Keeps track of a single visit | 2 years |
Advertising
We run ads on Google, Meta and TikTok. These measure whether those ads work, and let us show them to people who are likely to care. Only set if you agree.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| _gcl_au | Google Ads | Links an ad click to what happened next on the site | 3 months |
| _fbp | Meta (Facebook, Instagram) | Measures Meta ads and builds audiences | 3 months |
| _ttp | TikTok | Measures TikTok ads | 13 months |
These names and durations are set by Google, Meta and TikTok, not by us, and they can change them. What each company does with the data is covered by its own privacy policy, and our Privacy Notice says what we send.
Other things we store on your device
Two small pieces of information stay in your browser and are never sent to us or to anyone else. They are not cookies and they need no permission.
- Your volume setting, so the player sounds the same next time.
- Which tab you came from, so the navigation animates in the right direction. This one disappears when you close the tab.
If you add MDLBEAST Radio to your home screen, your device also stores the app files. Those hold no personal data and go when you delete the app.
Cookies set by other people’s content
Some pages carry posts and videos from Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, and links to Spotify, Apple Music and Anghami. When one of those loads, that company can set its own cookies on your device. We do not control them and we cannot read them. Their rules apply, not ours.
Our YouTube videos use YouTube’s no-cookie player, so nothing is set on your device unless you press play.
When you listen to the stream, our streaming provider receives your IP address, because that is how audio reaches you. That is a normal part of delivering the stream and is covered in our Privacy Notice.
Turning cookies off in your browser
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings, and most let you do it per site. If you block everything, the site still plays, but we will ask you the cookie question again on every visit, because the answer is stored in a cookie.
Changes
When we add or remove a tag, this page changes with it. The date at the bottom tells you when it last did.
