House Rules
We want people to send us things. Tracks, mixes, requests, dedications, voice notes, photos from a night that went off. Most of what makes the station good comes from listeners. These are the rules that keep it that way.
Keep yourself safe
- Think first. Anything you send can end up on air or on our channels. Once it is out, it is out.
- Keep your details to yourself. Do not send us your ID, your bank details or your passwords. We will never ask for them.
- Other people have a say too. Do not send someone else’s phone number, photo or voice without asking them first.
- If something feels off, tell us. Write to [email protected] and a real person will read it.
What we will not play or post
We remove anything, and can stop dealing with anyone, where what they send:
- is not theirs to send, including other people’s music, photos, video or writing;
- is obscene, or damages someone’s reputation;
- attacks anyone for their religion, nationality, race, gender or anything else about who they are;
- offends God, Islamic beliefs or other religions;
- bullies, threatens or harasses another person;
- works against the law and public order in the Kingdom;
- advertises a brand, a product, an event or a cause we have not agreed to;
- asks people for money or donations;
- is somebody’s private information, shared without their permission;
- is sent over and over, automatically, or to game a competition.
Sending us music
Send us your track and we will listen. A few things to know:
- It has to be yours, or you need permission from everyone who owns a piece of it.
- Sending it gives us permission to play it. The full wording is in our Terms of Use, and it is worth reading before you hit send.
- We cannot reply to everyone, and we cannot always say why something is not for us. It is not personal.
- Changed your mind? Write to [email protected] and we will take it out of rotation.
On WhatsApp
The studio number is for requests, dedications, shout-outs and telling us what you are hearing. Voice notes are welcome and may go out on air, so say it like you mean it.
It is not an emergency line and nobody is watching it around the clock. If something is urgent or serious, call the people whose job that is.
What happens if someone ignores this
We take things down, and we stop dealing with people who keep at it. Where something looks illegal, we report it. We do not argue about it publicly.
Telling us about something
Seen something on our channels that breaks these rules? Write to [email protected] with a link and what is wrong with it, and we will look.
